It's easy to see the time at any angle as the crystal doesn't grab the light as in some others. It states &quot;Diver Style&quot; so don't expect to go 300 meters with it. It's an everyday watch. As for the strap, well it's from chins, what do you expect. You shouldn't buy a watch for it's strap. That would be like buying a car based on it's tires. My wish list for this watch would be to have the black bezel and retaining the gold accents with a deeper, almost immersive black face as opposed to the flat construction paper looking black. I set this alongside one more than twice the value and my wife picked this as her favorite. purchased this watch and received it about week ago at the time of me writing this. The watch is very sturdy the rotating bezel feels great (I love the click it makes when turning). The dial is nothing like the first picture on the product page. It is MUCH, MUCH lighter. It looks like the dial in the picture that is one the models wrist. The strap is something that isn't great or bad. It is just a little above standard Chinese leather strap (still feels pretty good though). One thing I have noticed with the watch I received is that is gets above 1 minute off in the forward direction a day. That is annoying and I think it is outside the error range of the Miyota 8215 which is -20 seconds to +40 seconds a day. Still, what can you expect from mass production automatic watches at this price point. It is a great automatic watch!
