LET IT SNOW?

Torontonians and Montrealers, like so many others around the country are lamenting the snow, snow, snow. Is it just time to skip ahead to Spring?

Well, almost. Unless you love cozying up with a big, knitted sweater with faux fur trim and jeggings to keep your lower half a tailored counterbalance. The boots, don’t forget the boots! To complete this classic après ski look, get a watch made-to-look-old like a Timex Originals 1900’s Inspiration Watch in a leather ($105) or metallic expansion ($120). Preferably wear all of the above snuggled up on a sofa in front of a fireplace. Now that’s making this most of time.

WINTER ISN'T DEAD

We’ve hit the dead of winter, but winter isn’t dead. For those who are lucky enough to live in a warm climate or catch a flight to a sunny destination—resort wear has bright appeal that casts a shadow on the cold.
Bold colours reign and designers made colour blocking (one bold solid color block next to another) a hot option. If purchasing the latter, make sure your color-blocked swimwear sports darker hues across the hips and stomach, unless you wish to make these areas appear larger (very few of you, I suspect).
Not to miss is the neon yellow of chartreuse, which if it could speak would scream with its undertones of green. It’s a sharp colour for the select few who can pull it off, and will make you look tanner even if you haven’t had significant sun exposure.
Here’s a preview. Don’t forget the “it” bag for spring…a large roomy tote with a sporty fashionable watch to match. With your bag well stocked with sunscreen and a good read, enjoy your time away, and think of those of us bracing for the next storm.
